[Pattern] Pokemon Plant Decor

I saw some time ago on Instagram someone post a stitched butterfly used as a decoration for plants. I thought this would make a great present, but I wanted to try it out first with a small pattern.
So I grabbed some Pokemon sprites, my plastic canvas, and... Here is the result!

The pattern.

To create the pattern I used to sprites from Pokemon HeartGold and Soulsilver. You can find them here in the 'Other Montages' section at the bottom. The only problem is that the sprites facing forward and backward don't necessarily have the same exact shape, so you might have to update them a little, like I did.
I used floss I had available from other projects so that's why there's some blending and the choices are not the best possible.
Here's the pattern. You can download it by right-clicking on it.

The pattern was created using my own software, so if you have any feedback or issues don't hesitate to reach out! :)

How to finish them.

What you need:
 * Clear nylon thread
 * Toothpicks
 * Glue (for the small toothpick finish)
 * For the other finish, some kind of wire that will fit through your plastic canvas hole. Mine is aluminum, 1mm. Something to cut the toothpick and wire and optionally, pliers.

Small toothpick finish (Weedle)
  * Cut your plastic canvas around the stitching on both parts.
  * Prepare your needle with the nylon thread. Tie a knot on one end of the thread.
  * Get your needle through a hole from the wrong side, so that the knot will be hidden between the two parts. Choose a hole on the left or right side of the pice, not at the bottom.
  * Process might differ depending on your glue. For mine I first put glue everywhere I wanted to and let it dry before moving to the next step.
  * Put glue on the top of the toothpick, and one of the sides where the toothpick will rest. Apply the toothpick and press it in the right position.
  * Put glue on the other side, and apply it on top of the other. Make sure they are properly aligned and keep it pressed.
  * Start sewing both parts of the stitching all around while still holding the toothpick in place.
  * When getting close to the toothpick, make sure that you pull the thread as tight as you can to close the gap. Don't hesitate to go around the toothpick it if you feel like it'll help to secure it.
  * Finish going around the piece while pulling both parts together.
  * Once you're back at the start, just make the needle go through the whole piece and out on the other side several times.
  * When you feel it's secured enough, stretch the thread and cut it as close as you can to the canvas, so the end will stay stuck inside.
  * Wait a bit to make sure your glue is completely dry, and it's done!

Wire finish (Butterfree)
  * Cut your plastic canvas around the stitching. Leave some holes uncut on the bottom for the wire to go through.
  * Sew both parts of the Pokemon together with the nylon thread.
  * Cut the length of wire that you want. Keep in mind that you need to wrap the wire around the toothpick so take a decent length.
  * Pull it through the hole at the bottom of the , and wrap it around itself as tight as you can so that it doesn't move. You can use pliers to make sure the end is not sticking out too much.
  * For the bottom part, cut on end of the toothpick so that it's flat.
  * Just wrap your wire around the toothpick. You don't need to wrap it tightly on the whole length, but if you go all the way to the bottom it'll be easier to put in the soil.
  * That's it. You can move it around and shape it at will. :)

That's all folks!

As always, please tag me on here or social media if you use the pattern or make other Pokemons, I'd love to see what you make. <3

Happy Stitching!
